It might seem that running is the newest sport in the Philippines. However, an emerging sport is coming up in the metro that can further supplement the adrenaline rush of running enthusiasts...Biking! I think many runners who would love to take to the next level and prepare for Ironman or triathlon would love to have an biking event. Fortunately, Unilab prepared an event for all bikers entiteled "Unilab Bike United". The event will happen on October 16, 2010 at the Venice Piazza, McKinley.
Bike United gathers weekend warriors and competitive bikers for a day of wellness and active health. It is a part of the Unilab ActiveHealth advocacy. I believe this is the first biking event in the metro that I heard of recently and it is expected to be participated in by close to 1,500 biking enthusiasts. What I like about this event is that for every registration, Unilab donates medicines to a family in Tahanang Walang Hagdan.
